Nicolasa Abreu Avila "Colasa", is believed to have been born in San Luis or in Peñas Blancas, province of Pinar del Rio, Cuba.
She married first Simón Pérez, with whom she had three children:
Dolores "Lolita" Pérez Abreu was born in pinar del Río, married Domingo Villamil from Asturias, who died 5 October 1905.
Domingo Villamil and Lolita Pérez lived for a long time in Tampa and Key West. Domingo learned English using a candle, for they did not have electric service because it was not available at that time, although he owned to tobacco factories in Tampa. They had four boys and one girl:
Domingo Villamil Pérez married, had two sons and two daughters. He was a lawyer and very religious. He was brilliant and very extravagant. Was active in the Dominican Order, but he was disgusted with the Catholic Church and also with the United States when he was denied a visa of access to New York during a trip to españa. Seems the trip had something to do with the Communist Party, very popular in Cuba at the time. Domingo was Ministro de Justicia (Attorney General) during a vreve period after the Machado Government in Cuba. Died on 21 January 1956. His was a recluse during his latter years, would not receive visitors with rare exceptions, among them his brother Emilio "Mimi" with I visited his house once as a child.
Guillermo Villamil Pérez married Daría Espinosa, had no children . He was intelligent, generous and with a great sense of humor. Was a banker and manager of the branch in La Habana of an American bank. Died on 5 December 1948. I remember seeing him only once, while he was at the Covadonga Clinic (hospital) and I visited him with Emilito. Daría I saw often, she came to Tía María's house every Monday.
José Antonio Villamil Pérez married Aurora Pino, had two sons:
He was a banker, manager of the branch at La Habana of National City Bank. His grandson, son of Tony, also called José Antonio, is an prominent economist and was Sub-Secretary of Commerce of the United States during the George H. W. Bush's administration . José Antonio died at La Habana on 4 September 1958.
Dolores "Lolita" Villamil Pérez married Ernesto Pino, brother of his sister-in-law Aurora Pino, had a son, Ernestico. Lolita and Ernestico came to Miami, where both died.
